Competition is about to begin!!!

This Friday night we are hosting our first dual. Norwood will be visiting Cedaredge to see what the season holds in store. This is the first ever competition for many of our young men, so please come and show your support. We are doing various things to try and make the night special. We will have the best seat in the house for the first 5 youth wrestlers that show up. We will be giving out Cedaredge wrestling t-shirts to the first 50 fans. In addition, we will be holding a random drawing for door prizes for our loyal fans. We will be giving away a free i-pod, an iTunes gift card, and a gift certificate to RJ's Steak House. Finally, we will have a special recognition for all CHS wrestling alumni. Be sure to also check out the "new" wrestling room. At this point, our roster is as follows:

Big Week

This next week is a huge week for wrestling in Cedaredge. I finished up the "playbook" today. We have our winter sports meeting on Monday night at 6pm at the high school. Athletes, managers, and parents should all attend. I am working to finalize the technique video this week. I am moving classrooms due to the weight room being moved into my classroom, which in turn means we get the wrestling room back. That means we need to drop mats and set up the room; I would like to do a bit of painting and installing of exercise equipment. On Wednesday, we are going to watch an intra-squad "wrestle-off" scrimmage at Mesa State and picking up concession food. Registration for the youth tournament is due on Wednesday so that means we will be starting to lay out brackets. Thursday is our first high school practice. Friday, after practice, we are setting up for our youth tourney..."Bruin Bash". Saturday is the tournament with the little guys wrestling in the morning and the older kids wrestling in the afternoon. Saturday night is moving mats back, and Sunday is a day of rest...hopefully...
